Add an intermediate certificate
Students can get an intermediate certificate once they complete a part of your course. This approach helps keep them motivated and reinforces their sense of progress.
In this article, we’ll talk about how to add an intermediate certificate, schedule its availability, and choose a template.
Go to your course page. Click the arrow icon next to the Add lesson button, and select Add a certificate.
You can also go to the course builder and add an intermediate certificate there.
Click the upper left menu, then click the arrow icon below the lesson list, and select Add certificate. The certificate will be added to the end of your current section, and you can then reposition it in your course.
On the right, select the certificate you created from the list.
Click the three dots next to it. Select Certificate settings and configure certificate access options.
Open | The certificate will be available to students once they complete the previous lesson or test. |
Hidden | The certificate will not be available to students, but instructors will be able to view and edit it in the course builder. Students will be able to get the certificate when its status changes to Open . |
Closed | The certificate will not appear in your course program. It will appear with the Close status in your course program, unlike certificates with the Hidden status. |
Schedule content availability |
The certificate will be available on a scheduled date and time. Scheduled lesson opening will appear in the Calendar tab of instructor and student accounts with paid pricing plans. |
