Add hidden product fields

Hidden fields store data that's not visible to visitors on your product pages. They're designed to send metadata to external tools, such as payment systems, that you've integrated.

In this article, we will talk about how to add and use hidden product fields.

Add hidden fields

Go to Products > Settings, then click Add field.

Enter a name (up to 255 characters) and choose a field type:

String Sends text values, up to 255 characters long.
Number Sends numeric values, up to 255 digits long.

Click Add.

This field will appear in your product card under Integration fields. Your team members can fill it in, but it won’t be visible to website visitors.

Hidden field setup example

Let’s say your product has an internal ID of id-2, but your POS system recognizes it as prod_1. You then want to send this specific ID when processing payments.

Add a hidden field named payment_gateway_id and select the String type.

Open your product card, go to Integration fields, and enter prod_1 in the integration field.

Go to the Payments section, click the three dots next to your connected payment system, and choose Edit. In the Pass the technical product field from SendPulse CRM to the POS system (optional) field, select payment_gateway_id.

monobank and LiqPay support hidden product fields.

Once the integration is active, the CRM system will automatically send the value from the payment_gateway_id field to the payment system.
