How pricing plans affect flow progression
When flows run, the system pauses or continues contact progress in your flow based on your pricing plans and your account balance. This ensures that flows operate correctly.
Let’s talk about how pricing plans affect your contacts’ flow progression.
Contact movement within a flow is not limited. However, the Email, SMS, and Push elements require an active pricing plan in their respective SendPulse tools. If your plan expires, you reach plan limits, or your account balance is insufficient for a specific element, the contact halts at that element.
To resume your flow with sending elements, renew your paid pricing plan or switch to a free plan. Afterward, your flow will automatically resume for all contacts.
When your paid plan expires, the system does not switch you to a free plan automatically.
Here’s how pricing affects these elements:
| Triggers if you have an active Email pricing plan and unused limits. It also triggers if you have more than 20 unique subscribers left as per your pricing plan. | |
| SMS | Triggers if your balance is sufficient to send a message and is not below $1. Bonus funds do not count. |
| Push | Triggers if you have an active Push pricing plan. |
Contacts may be removed from the queue if your pricing plan expires more than four days before the scheduled sending time.
Removal is applied as follows:
- Contacts are removed from Email if your Email pricing plan expires.
- Contacts are removed from Push if your Push pricing plan expires.
- Contacts are removed from SMS if your balance is zero or insufficient.
Contacts are not removed from other types of elements.
Contacts become active again once you renew your pricing plan or top up your balance. Your flow does not require a restart or any other action.
In other elements, contacts continue moving through your flow as long as it is active. For example, if you add the Messaging app or Viber elements but your pricing plan expires, contacts will still move through your flow. However, you will see a notification that messages are not being delivered.
